Brain Patterns Shaping Embodied Activities of Their Bodily Limbs in Perception and Cognition

This essay aims to expose the metaphysical underpinnings of enactivism. While enactivism relies heavily on rejecting traditional mind-body problem by excluding familiar thought experiments that favor phenomenal dualism, crucial point is overlooked instead brain-body problem, specifically interaction between brain and bodily limbs in their embodied activities perception cognition. If correct, differences sensory experience necessarily entail activity—this core enactivism, which we think entirely wrong. We will argue a physical or biological body ("Körper") configured shaped into perceptually living ("Leib") patterns not activity so-called sensorimotor contingencies. Undoubtedly, actions influence perception. However, since variations do lead experience, they are metaphysically constitutive these experiences (supervenience claim).
